Design and Print of 60 Page Book

PPS Print were asked to design and print a 60+ page book about the village of Helpston.  It combined text and about 85 illustrations which included recent colour photographs and black and white photographs dating from the early 20th century, even some from the 1890s.  There was even a coloured map dated 1820 and there were a number of modern maps and diagrams.

The size of the book, the soft back, glossy, coloured cover and the paper quality were agreed in advance.

After the book was printed the client came back with the following comments:

The design team (Elaine in this case) are outstanding and the overall appearance and layout of the book with the illustrations inserted into the text are both clear and visually attractive.

The reproduction of the colour was excellent, corresponding exactly with the originals.  Most outstanding of all was the clarity of the old black and white photographs.

From the preliminary discussions to the delivery of the boxes of books the service has been excellent.  They were even received over a week ahead of the deadline.

I have shown a sample of the book to one or two people and they are very impressed.  I can`t send individual comments until after the launch next Saturday.

I would recommend PPS without reservations and would not even consider changing to another printing company.  I regard the staff as extended family now having known them for so long.
