Why should we use FSC® Certified Paper?

It is a good question.  And you are probably asking yourself another one which is “Who are the FSC®?  Well, the FSC® stands for Forest Stewardship Council®.   This is a global, non-governmental organization that was established in 1990 to promote environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world's forests.

Almost everything that is made from wood and other forest products will be available with an FSC® label and by buying FSC® certified products, you provide incentives for responsible forestry.

Whether you are an individual or business, you can enjoy your purchases knowing it has not contributed to the destruction of the world’s forest or even come from companies involved in human rights abuses.

So what are the other reasons and benefits that come from buying an FSC® certified product?

1. Any forest products coming from FSC® certified forests must be grown, managed and harvested in a way that is good for the habitat and the future growth of the forest.  So you are protecting the ENVIRONMENT.

6. You are using the only paper certification that is ENDORSED by most of the major environmental groups.  These groups include the World Wildlife Fund, Greenpeace and The Woodland Trust.
7. Consumers, your customers, are starting to appreciate a commitment to green practices and so it will help YOU and your business in being able to support sustainability and best practise through their purchases. This can be a competitive advantage for you.
